David Robertson is the owner and operator of Pines Financial Planning & Accounting. David is an Authorised Representative (AR Number 246122) of Wealth Today – Australian Financial Services Licensee (Licence Number 340289). David has significant experience in all facets of financial services obtained over the last 30 plus years of consulting to clients in all stages of life including individuals, businesses and in his early years larger corporate clients where he worked with two firms from the big 8 (now big 4) and ICI Australia (Orica) including accounting, tax, financial and estate planning, investment direct share investing, superannuation and SMSF’S, risk and personal insurance, business protection, loans for individuals and business.

Pines Financial Planning & Accounting was originally started in 1991 as BR Accountants in Mermaid Beach and from there we moved into new premises at Varsity Lakes in 2018.

David is very ably assisted by Sue his PA who has had many years experience in Financial Planning and Liz who manages the general administration. Both Sue and Liz have had extensive experience with Accounting and Financial Planning office administration.

David has attained the following qualifications and memberships; BBus RMIT Melbourne, CFP, CA, CPA, Registered Tax Agent, CDec and member of the FPA.

David and the team at Pines Financial are dedicated to providing personal service in a timely manner without the need to consult with separate professionals, unless specialist niche services are need such as wills and estate planning wherein a solicitor would be involved. David will see you through the whole process and is committed from the start to the finish.

On a more personal note David is married with two adult children and enjoys travel, football (AFL) the share market and the beach. He was brought up on a sheep and cattle property in the Riverina and is still involved with the family property to this day. David has also spent 20 years in Rotary and has enjoyed many years of volunteer work as Treasurer of the Gold Coast Chapter of the FPA the Robina Braves Baseball Club, Former Chairman and Board member of Newlife Care, a Gold Coast Charity helping Gold Coasters in need of Counselling, Mental Health, Domestic Violence and Hampers to the needy.
